Welcome to Role of Love. My name is Paul Zolman and this is my story.
Growing up, stories of my great-grandfather, grandfather and personal experiences with my father displayed how anger was the main emotion in a tense situation. Anger, with it’s sidekicks sarcasm and cynicism, were the sources and springboards of humor and relationships in my family. Because of this, friends weren't friends for long, extended family severed relationships, and neighbors stopped calling because they were emotionally exhausted from the put-downs and barbed comments. I realized early on that there had to be a way to form positive relationships and I sought to find ways to set aside anger and find LOVE. Love inspires. Love blesses. Love invigorates. Love gives life. Love is indeed a way of life that will make the world a better place. This is the objective with RoleofLove. To increase love in the world by having everyone make the conscious choice to share love every day in a appropriate ways.
When a person is raised without a focus of love, it becomes very difficult to be the best person you can be. Even though you are raised with the very best of intentions it's hard to develop relationships of love and respect when you have only been raised with anger and hostility. This is how I was raised; little emphasis on love with swings of emotion and anger as the centerpiece. I have come to realize that the past generations of my family have had very little focus on love and I have seen the impact it has had in my personal life and family. As I have looked, searched, and experimented for a better way; I have found that the best source of strength has come by making a conscious, daily choice to share love. Because of this experimentation, RoleofLove was founded. I found a simple way to make sharing love in relationships a habit by practicing it daily.
By using RoleofLove, each day is full of new adventures, new topics, and new fun ways to express your love for those you care about.
Each dice for Role of Love is designed to quickly choose which "type" of love you will focus and learn more about for the day. The icons are designed to be easily recalled when opportunities to share love are presented. RoleofLove will not take away the opportunities for other emotions but rather provide an awareness and a vigilant attitude at the start of the day to choose to share love. Imagine what would happen if everyone in the world woke up and decided to love a little better that day and share a little more love with everyone around you (including yourself!)
